The Fawn and the Tiger

Congratulations to the Feisty Development Team on the release of Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn) Herd 4. There are many great features in this release, but the one undocumented one I have noticed is the ease of installation on my Macbook Pro. It is a little trickier than a base Ubuntu install, but no harder than installing Windows XP under OS X Bootcamp. This should be an install that even a non-techie will be comfortable doing.

You can find full instructions at here (soon), and also on the Ubuntu Wiki.

I recent been able to get my hands on a MacBook Pro for my laptop. This is a great laptop, fast and reliable. I’m currently running Windows XP with Bootcamp with and running Ubuntu and Fedora in Parallels. The only problem I have with it is the ammount of heat it produces and the life of the battery.
