I got mine mailed to me a couple of weeks ago. Good publication. Recommended.

Maybe you should place a link… I had to open an additional tab for searching in google.

  3. Joey says:

I’ve picked this magazine up in W H Smiths and had a browse. Looks good!

One thing i have noticed is that in all the W H Smith’s i go in, Ubuntu User isn’t placed with the rest of the Computer Magazines but rather near the economic/politics/science magazines. Shame, as if i didn’t buy New Scientist i wouldn’t even know it existed!

  4. Mike says:

In the U.S., Barnes and Noble has it with the computer magazines, but hidden in the back. Borders bookstore does not even carry it.

  5. Melc says:

    we still love fullcircle magazine

  6. Mike says:

I agree, Full Circle Magazine rocks. Your average new/potential Ubuntu user may not know about Full Circle, but may see Ubuntu User in the store.

  7. Vadim P. says:

Is it possible to subscribe purely online?

  8. Mike says:

No, only paper version for now.

  9. Dave W says:

Not impressed – nearly a third of issue 2 (Discovery Guide section) is a repeat from issue 1. At nearly £8 an issue this is inexcusable.

  10. Mike says:

@Dave W I can not respond to your comment yet, since I have only seen my article in the magazine.

  11. Rikki Kite says:

    Mike,
We responded to Dave’s email to us and told him that the Discovery Guide (a section in the magazine that helps newer Ubuntu Users get up to speed) for issue #2 is almost identical to issue #1 because it also covers Jaunty Jackalope. The DVD in issue #2 comes with a 6-pack of ‘buntus, all based on the Jaunty release.

Issue #3 of Ubuntu User will come with a Karmic Koala DVD, so the Discovery guide will be written and updated for that new release of Ubuntu.
    Hope that helps!
    Rikki

P.S. We agree that Full Circle is a great publication. Of course, we think you should read Full Circle AND Ubuntu User (no need to pick just one!). ;-)
