You&#039;re right, though, that we should consider your bug #1 not fixed quite yet.  Neither sound nor advanced display needs (multiple monitors), to pick a couple of examples, are anywhere near as problem-free as they are in Win or MacOS.  But we&#039;re getting there (xrandr1.2 was a big step forward for the latter).

As you say, only a matter of time.</description>

Bug number one is that there is no Free desktop that meets everyone&#039;s needs well --and that is NOT fixed yet.  We&#039;re getting so much closer, all the time, but we are not there.  Better than Windows?  Heck yes.  Better than OS X?  Mmmhh, where&#039;s our Final Cut, where&#039;s our Logic?  Photoshop?
