I saw this story on Digg, and I have to agree that the Microsoft Alumni Network logo look similar to Ubuntu Circle of Friends.
MSA Logo

Ubuntu Logo

Maybe they are Microsoft alumni cause they have moved to better things (and operating systems
).
Old News.
Besides, the MSA logo looks much better than the Ubuntu logo.
Looks like a blatant copyright infringement on microsofts part. SUE THE BAS*****!
“Besides, the MSA logo looks much better than the Ubuntu logo.”
I don’t know about that… that logo’s got duller colors than Ubuntu’s, and it looks like each person only has one arm grabbing onto the other’s armless shoulder.
also, MSA has been around and using a similar logo for about 5 years now…so did Ubuntu steal it from them? there is a Google cache somewhere that shows their original logo, which looks even closer to the Ubuntu logo
Nothing new, It’s not as if Ubuntu invented the concept of their logo.

I think they did lift the wrong arm up in their (ms) logo. The right arm was ususaly lifted by the fascists or the nazis.

I think they did lift the wrong arm up in their (ms) logo. Usually, fascists do lift up their right arms.
Hmmm, what did Ubuntu do when the RHUL SU complained that Ubuntu reused their idea for the logo ? Not a word… not a public reaction… And now we have a logo with Microsoft in it and they dare to complain ? I’m a Kubuntu user, but I really find that kind of reaction quite stupid…

This circle of 3 friends is often used as a logo for students’ union… that’s it

The msn spaces logo also was very similar.
it looks like the darkest person in the logo is taking something from the next person pocket.
micro$oft
perhaps money???
@dedopohoda: lol, you made my day!
In the Microsoft logo the people don’t appear to all be equals, it seems like there’s a guy on the top and a guy on the bottom and as such is not so much a “circle of friends” but people climbing over each other, pushing others down in an effort to get to the top.
